Construction project manager

The project manager's main mandate is to coordinate all the necessary steps needed throughout the construction process (planning, monitoring, following up, supervising the resources, etc.). Our clients are mainly work providers or general contractors. The project manager also has the mandate to ensure that the deliverables correspond to the client's requests and to take the necessary measures to ensure that deadlines and budgets are respected. This position is under the General Management.

Tasks

  • Represent the client throughout the construction process

  • Prepare tasks for the whole team

  • Estimate costs

  • Develop and monitor project schedules

  • Participate in the selection of the necessary stakeholders for the realization of the project

  • Coordinate, manage and supervise stakeholders

  • Ensure effective communication between all teams

  • Be actively involved in all the different stages of the project

  • Positively influence the key factors to successfully manage the project

  • Any other task necessary for the completion of the project

Requirements

  • Technical or university training required. Field of study: Architecture or civil, engineering (civil, construction, mechanics, project management)

  • Minimum 5 years of prior experience in a project management position or similar

  • Have previously managed projects of $15 million ($15M) or more

  • Spoken and written languages: French and English

  • Good understanding of construction management systems

  • Developed analytical and problem solving skills

  • Great communicator; comfortable communicating professionally both verbally and in writing

  • Ability to work alone and on a team with little supervision

  • Ability to work under pressure

  • Ability to adapt quickly and openness to change

  • Likes to take up challenges, seeks a strong sense of belonging and likes to work with a team

  • Great sense of organization, resourceful, meticulous, responsible and reliable

  • Passionate about commercial, industrial, pharmaceutical, institutional and large-scale residential projects

Start date: As soon as possible
Salary: To be discussed, variable according to experience
Working hours: Must be available between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Possibility of exception according to the mandate, with the agreement of all parties involved.
Status: Permanent, full-time (40 hours per week guaranteed)
